Be a part of the VIA GoCodeSA Codeathon event, designed to bring together the best coders, designers, and tech minds in the area, and challenge them to turn bright transit ideas into potential transit innovation for our region.
VIA Metropolitan Transit and the Transportation Workgroup of the Alex Briseño Leadership Development Program at the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce are partnering to host the Codeathon, an opportunity for the area’s brightest tech minds to analyze data sets and identify opportunities to create or improve programs at VIA, as well as potential system enhancements.
VIA will host the 24-hour, open-source review and provide access to various data sets for participants to mine, analyze, and strategize through original coding work.
It’s all happening at Geekdom and CodeUp, where VIA’s Information Technology experts will oversee the opening of its data vault for up to 80 participants competing for cash prizes.
The interactive event will feature the chance to learn from notable voices in the tech community who will offer insight on industry trends and opportunities.
In addition to the brain food, GoCodeSA will provide meals and snacks for participants and guests. Registered participants will also receive cool swag bags with great goodies provided by our awesome event sponsors.
GoCodeSA is free for participants, who will be eligible for cash prizes based on their work. Judges will conduct reviews and select the top three entries.
