Community Fund

The Community Fund gives Geekdom members the opportunity to pitch their business for $25,000 in seed funding. Along with the chance to get an investment, applicants get valuable experience and feedback from our selection panel.

The Community Fund takes place once a quarter for Geekdom Members.

Who can apply?

To qualify, you need to be an active Geekdom member for at least 90 days prior to the application close date, have a legally formed company, and be giving back to the Geekdom community. Companies must be an LLC, CCORP, or SCORP. Non-profit companies are not eligible.

Finalist Selection

What companies are chosen?

A selection panel reviews all complete and eligible applications. Five finalists are chosen to advance to the next stage. Finalists are evaluated on their business model, use of funds, and Geekdom mission fit.

Final Pitch

Who will be the award winner?

Finalists have five minutes to pitch their business to a selection panel comprised of guests from the San Antonio tech and entrepreneurial community, followed by a 5 minute Q&A with the panel. The selected company is announced to all Geekdom members at our Community Pitch Day event!
