Meet our Panel

Stephanie Lopez, our moderator for the panel, started at J.P. Morgan in our Business Architecture & Transformation Group, partnering with J.P. Morgan LATAM on an internal initiative to enhance Money-Market and FX transactions. She then transitioned into our Banking Operation line of business, where she supported industrywide fraud initiatives. After her Operations experience, Stephanie transitioned to the Middle Market Public Sector Group to focus on Treasury Services, Cash Management and Credit Solutions. She covered the Midwest markets as a Commercial Banker for over three years. In 2021, Stephanie transitioned to the South Public Sector Banking Group to support the Texas market. Today she is part of the Startup Banking team supporting early stage startups by being an advisors and resource from pre-seed through series A.

Heidi Hubbeling Leach is Vice President, Startup Banking in JPMorgan’s Commercial Bank in Austin, TX. In her role at JPMC, she provides strategic advice, resources and customized banking services to early stage startups from seed through Series A. Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase, Heidi was immersed in the tech ecosystem in Los Angeles, CA as the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of the Preccelerator Program at Stubbs Alderton & Markiles. The Preccelerator is an accelerator for early stage startups that provided capital, co-working space, legal services, a curated perks package, a robust mentorship program and customized curriculum to help founders grow their companies from idea to funded startup. Heidi has over 16 years’ experience working with startup founders with specific expertise in fundraising, pitch deck preparation, business development and relationship building, and system and process implementation for growth.

Gaby Smith is a Banker with J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Austin, Texas where she helps manage the wealth of entrepreneurs, executives, families and organizations. She works closely with each client, supporting their unique goals through customized wealth strategies across financial planning, investing, borrowing, banking and philanthropy. A bilingual advisor with international experience, Gaby understands that many factors—including personal circumstance, legislation and financial markets—affect wealth. As these elements change, Gaby seeks to help her clients make informed decisions by providing straightforward, actionable advice with an exceptional degree of service. Gaby brings more than a decade of experience to her position. Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2018, she served as a domestic and international wealth manager with BBVA Compass in Austin for three years. Prior to that, she customized investment portfolios at BBVA Bancomer in Cancun,Mexico, where she began her professional career in 2008.

Robert Hines is a South Region Division Manager with Chase for Business-Diverse Business Strategies. Robert has over 17 collective years of experience at JPMorgan Chase and 28 years in financial services. As a business professional, he leads a team of Sr. Business Consultants committed to supporting minority entrepreneurs gain access to capital. He is differentiated by an uncommon complement of financial management expertise combined with a strong business acumen, allowing him to identify business drivers, understand complex issues, take action and drive results. Prior to rejoining JPMorgan Chase in 2016, Robert owned and operated his own company where he provided ‘turn-key’ consultancy services to organizations in a variety of industries.
