Women in Tech Power Hour: Where We Stand and Where We Are Going

September 15, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

San Antonio is no stranger to women in workplace challenges.

In a recent study published by SmartAsset and highlighted in an article by the San Antonio Business Journal, San Antonio was ranked 53 out of 59 cities across four metrics: the industry’s gender pay gap, income after housing costs, percentage of women in the tech workforce and three-year growth in the industry.

From local small and mid-sized businesses to corporations, let’s discover how the workplace has evolved to include more women.

Join us for our Women in Tech Power Hour discussion as we explore the experiences and realities of women in San Antonio’s tech community in a lively panel discussion moderated by Cat Dizon, Active Capital’s co-founder and Geekdom’s board chair.

We’ll delve into the data and learn about local initiatives to close the wage gap and elevate opportunities for women in tech-related fields.

Join us! Come network for the first hour then stay for our powerful panel discussion.

For this discussion, we invite all to hear the hopeful changes to the workforce we can create one position at a time.

PARKING: Free parking is available at the Rand Garage, 129 Soledad St. (located between Houston and Commerce Sts.) You will use a credit card to access the garage, but we will provide you with a voucher at the event which you may use upon exiting.

Your email will be shared with sponsors and will be used within our organization as we work to create more opportunities for women in San Antonio’s entrepreneurial ecosystem to connect and support one another.
