Geekdom Pre-accelerator

• For-profit companies • Geekdom Members (Not a member? Become one today!) • Companies with a business model and MVP (can be further along or finishing build of MVP) • Companies looking to apply to accelerators and/or prepare to seek early stage funding • Founders who can commit to dedicating a minimum of 4-6 hours of their time to program requirements each week • Founders looking to build relationships in the San Antonio startup community • Founders who are passionate, coachable, and open to feedback

When selecting companies for the Pre-accelerator, we look at a few items to determine if the startup is a good fit. Those items are: • Past Program Participation - has this company participating in Startup Bootcamp, Incubator, or Community Fund? • Business Model - Does this company have a product or minimum viable product in the market? Are they currently generating revenue? What is the scalability of this company? •Pitch Deck - Is the problem and solution clearly stated and explained? Is there a strong understanding of product-market fit? Overall quality of the deck (branding & design) • Video Submission - Did the founder clearly answer the questions asked in the application? What milestones is this company looking to reach? • Team/Founder - Is the founder working on this full-time? Does this founder have a team or co-founder?

The Geekdom Pre-accelerator is a 6-week program that prepares startups for applying to accelerators, and early-stage investments. Selected founders meet weekly for workshops and speaker sessions, pitch practice, and 1:1 mentorship with all-star Geekdom mentors. The program culminates in a public Demo Day event where each startup will pitch their company to the community.
