We hope that you are doing well. Now, maybe more than ever, it is so important for entrepreneurs and start-ups to support one another. As many of you know, the Community Fund is one of the great programs we offer where our members can show off their hard work and pitch their business for an investment. This quarter, like many of your businesses, Geekdom has faced some huge logistical and financial obstacles. Despite this, I am so pleased that we are still able to give back to our industrious, local entrepreneurs through the Community Fund. We were excited by the amount and quality of applications we received this quarter. This also made the selection very competitive. In this update, I will be shining a spotlight on our awesome finalists.

Buzu Trading Cards offers artists of all ages to collect, trade, and create their own trading cards with an emphasis on education and creative expression.
Sports Sonar developed SafeWave as a fast, reliable, and silent alarm system that can notify emergency responders without wifi or an internet connection.
Pinch Boil House focuses on culture, community, and “damn good” food to create a fun, fast casual environment in Downtown’s restaurant landscape.
White Cloud Drones is a media production company that uses drone technology to tell local stories through aerial videography and photography.

Although the current situation has forced us to all remain physically separated from one another, we continue to see that the connections between members of our community remain strong.
