The Startup Lifecycle – Interacting with Customers
In this workshop, attorney Matt Fagan of Goodwin Procter will discuss techniques for managing your relationships with customers. We’ll consider how to protect your technology and intellectual property when performing beta testing and product rollouts. We’ll look at terms of service and the obligations of your customers owe to your company (and vice versa). You’ll also get a brief overview of the rules around advertising and handling customer data – from worldwide privacy laws to best practices for handling data breaches. Finally, we’ll consider what happens when customers engage in bad behavior that violates your terms of service or reflects poorly on your company.
Matt is an attorney specializing in intellectual property and technology law.
